Brass and Wood Telescope

Item

Title

Brass and Wood Telescope

Description

The small Victorian 2-draw pocket telescope is made from brass and mahogany. The telescope has its original patina. The telescope focuses via a sliding mechanism of the body-tube through the draw-tube.
Condition:

Cosmetically: The wood has a small tight hairline crack and the brass is showing signs of age and wear.
Optically: Both lenses are present, with no chips or cracks and they function.
Mechanically: The sliding mechanism works and the instrument is functional.
