Bulova Watches

Description

Bulova was founded by Joseph Bulova in 1875 in New York City. (1) Bulova watches created between 1924-1949 were dated by using symbols such as squares, arrows, and stars. Watches created in 1950 and later were dated using an alphanumeric code beginning with L, indicating the year 1950. Each subsequent year the L was followed by a number, therefore a watch created in 1957 is marked as L7. (2) According to the Bulova Museum, Bulova was the official timepiece of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1957, Pan American Airlines in the 1960s, and of the 2016 Grammy's. (3)
